Justin Lavenue is a player in not just the Austin cocktail scene, but the national one as well. In July 2015, he was one of 25 up-and-coming bartenders featured in the book, Food & Wine Cocktails. He was also recognized with one of Zagat Austin’s “30 Under 30” awards (2015) and most recently won Bombay Sapphire’s 9th Annual “Most Imaginative Bartender” competition in Las Vegas, Nev., and will represent the U.S. at the global competition next year. His most recent accolade was being named one of Food & Wine Magazine’s Best New Mixologists (2015). He passed the rigorous BAR 5-day course in NYC and is currently working toward completing his BAR Masters certification.
