This one isn’t just a thing to do in Austin, but a thing to do across the whole nation!

This week, Shake Shack is teaming up with beloved NBC morning host, Al Roker, for a special limited burger to benefit the youth of America.

The Roker Burger is comprised of an all-natural Angus beef patty, Niman Ranch BBQ pulled pork, pickles, red-eye mayo and double American cheese. $1 of every Roker Burger goes to No Kid Hungry.

The burger is available this week only! So get to it and eat for a good cause.

 

August 27: Bake Sale At Barley Swine

When: Saturday, August 27,  10 a.m. until supplies last. (Get there early!)

How Much: Open to the public. Goodies available for purchase!

Austin’s own Pastry Queen, Susana Querejazu of Barley Swine and Odd Duck, is popping up at Barley Swine this Saturday for a special bake sale benefitting the Shoal Creek Conservatory. Attendees will find a variety of delicious Querejazu confections, such as croissants, danishes, cookies and more. Get there early. The Queen doth command it!

August 28: Dolce Neve and
LENOIR Pastry Collaboration

How Much: Open to the public. Treats available for purchase!

This is definitely a great weekend for things to do in Austin if you love sweets.

Master gelatiers Dolce Neve and pastry chef extraordinaire, Thomas Calhoun of LENOIR, are teaming up for a unique collaboration this Sunday featuring a pastry cone filled with gelato and chocolate, as well as warm, fresh brioche paired with horchata gelato.

If there was ever a time to add that #foodporn hashtag to your social media repertoire, this would be it!
