Things to Do in Austin: Free Coffee at Casa Brasil, The Texas Wine Revolution and Weekly Wine Lover Specials

When it comes to summer, the things to do in Austin become a bit more spaced out. Austin events tend to hide from the sun and the appeal of AC reigns supreme. That being said, summertime is a fine time for wine (and coffee, too!).

Everyone loves free coffee – it’s one of the few things that makes spending long hours at the bank or car dealership bearable. This is especially true when said free coffee is delicious. This Friday, Casa Brasil is opening up their roasting warehouse to the public for a free pop up coffee shop of Casa Brasil and Little City coffees. Attendees can enjoy some complimentary pour overs, espresso drinks and the truly buzz-worthy nitro cold brew.

For anyone who loves wine, this is one of the best things to do in Austin all summer! Over the years, Texas has become an unexpected vineyard haven. The Texas Wine Revolution Festival brings together 25 of the state’s finest wineries with a special focus on Texas Grown Rosé. Included in the lineup are our friends William Chris Vineyards, who are also playing host to the event. As well as tastings and tapas-style refreshments, guests can expect live music and other goodies.

How Much: Some serious discounts.

This is a good summer for lovers of all things wine. In addition to the aforementioned event, a few of our clients have some ongoing specials for those with bacchanalian leanings.

Sunday Funday doesn’t have to end after brunch. Barley Swine is  now offering half prices on all bottles of wine on Sunday evenings! Similarly, you can celebrate hump day like a queen at CANTINE Italian Café & Bar, as they are also offering half prices on all bottles for their Wine Wednesdays. If you like your vino jazzed up, be sure to also check out their Paella Tuesdays for seasonal paella and $5  glasses of house sangria available all night long! For the night owls, Juniper has a late night lambrusco special. Beginning nightly at 9 p.m., bottles are only $20. This one is al fresco only, so make sure you get a spot on the patio if you want to snag this deal.
