One of the most common things to do in Austin (and Portland for that matter) is grow a big, impressive beard. If you are a guy and haven’t jumped on that bandwagon, you might as well do so now for a good cause as “Movember” is officially upon us!

Join SHED Barbershop & Supply along with Whiskey Grade and Uppercut Deluxe for the Mos & Motos Movember Shave Down to support men’s health. The barbers will offer free straight razor shaves and trims so you can get your manscape fresh before you let it grow!

Guests can enjoy refreshments from Firestone Walker Brewing Co., Cuvee Coffee and Doggie Style hot dogs, along with jams from DJ uLOVEi. It’s going to be a great time!

November 1-16: Jacksgiving Food Drive

One of the best things to do in Austin is to give back to the community

Where: All Jack Allen’s Kitchen locations

When: November 1-16

From now until November 16, all three Jack Allen’s Kitchen locations are accepting donations of non-perishable food items such as canned chicken or tuna, peanut butter, whole grain pastas and canned veggies. All items benefit the Central Texas Food Bank.

So take a leaf out of Jack Gilmore’s book and give back next time you stop into Jack Allen’s Kitchen for dinner, lunch or brunch. It will make that chicken fried steak taste even better!

Next Week…
