There are so many great things to do in Austin during the holidays. One of the most pressing at the moment, however, likely has to do with Christmas shopping.

Shopping during the holidays is notoriously stressful, but thankfully, Jacoby’s Restaurant & Mercantile has devised a nice little plan to make the process not only bearable, but also fun with the return of their Sip & Shop!

December 18: The Winter Solstice Farm Festival

Celebrating the seasons is one of our favorite things to do in Austin.

Join Eden East and Springdale Farm this Sunday for a celebration of the Winter Solstice!

Festivities include live music, a polaroid photo booth, a bonfire and a holiday market for any last minute gifts! As well as unlimited bites from Chef Sonya Coté of Eden East, guests can enjoy cocktails from Deep Eddy, Fernet hot chocolate and Argus Cider available via drink tickets.

Kids under six get in free, so bring along the whole family for a guaranteed good time!

Imbibing for a good cause is one of the best things to do in Austin.

For the past two Mondays, Backbeat has been hosting #SLEIGH – celebration of the holidays, the ladies and all things fierce. December 19 is the last day to get in formation, so don’t miss it!

One of the best and baddest bartenders in the business, Jessica Sanders, and a few guests are slinging some extra fabulous cocktails including the gin-based “Jingle Ladies: Put a Ring on It” and the tequila-based “Santa Bey-by.” Attendees can also expect some other surprises to sip on.

A portion of the night’s proceeds will go to the following organizations that benefit women – GirlForward, Austin SafePlace and the Texas Advocacy Project. Giving back while having fun is definitely one of the finest things to do in Austin, especially during the holidays!
